Ivan Ninov

Born on August 19, 1946 in the village of Tsonevo, near Varna.

Graduated from the Sofia Art High School in 1969.

Since 1970 has taken part in almost all art exhibitions in the country, as well as in representative exhibitions of Bulgarian graphic art abroad: USA, France, Norway, Germany, Argentina.

Has taken part in many print biennials and triennials.

AWARDS:

1980 - Graphic Award of the Rome Academy for Foreign Art;

1989 - First prize and silver plaque at the 5th Print Biennial, Varna;

1993 - First prize for print - Autumn Salon, Sofia;

1997 - First prize for drawing at the National Drawing Exhibition, Sofia;

1997 - Gold medal at the International Print Exhibition, Stockholm 97;

2001 - Silver Drypoint Plaque, International Drypoint Biennale, Uzice, Yugoslavia

His works are in the possession of:

Library of Congress, Washington;

The Ludwig Collection, Cologne;

Print rooms Sofia, Varna, Krakow, Kanagawa, Tokyo and others;

Many private collections in Bulgaria, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary.

Lives and works in Sofia.
